Another favorite haunt of area history buffs
is offering ghost tours this Halloween.
Perkins Stone Mansion, the 19th-century house
that was once home to the son of Akron's co-founder, is offering
Ghost Hunt Tours from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Oct. 31. Visitors
will take a guided tour of the mansion and hear spooky tales
and ghostly accounts.
Cost is $15 ($12 for Summit County Historical
Society members). Reservations are required.
The tours are part of a series of Halloween-season
events at the mansion that also include:
Paranormal Pizza Party, 7:30-11:30
p.m. Saturday. Participants will spend four hours with a ghost-busting
enthusiast in a search for otherworldly residents. Cost is
$32 for members and $40 for nonmembers.
An opportunity to host your own cocktail
or costume dinner party in the mansion during October. Prices
vary depending on menu choice.
All the events are limited to people 16 or
older. Reservations are required at 330-535-1120.
