NEW PROVIDENCE -- What ghosts roam within
the historic sites and buildings of Central N.J.? How accurate
are the traditional stories?
On Sunday, Nov. 9, at 3 p.m. at the New Providence
Memorial Library all are invited to hear answers to these
questions and more about haunted New Jersey.
Garrett Husveth, a court-approved forensic
examiner, will present a talk about "Historic Haunts
of Central New Jersey," which is also the title of his
recently-published book. From the shadowed woods of the Somerset
Hills to the dappled banks of the Delaware River, Mr. Husveth
will deliver a rich mix of factual history and the sound investigation
of ghostly phenomena.
For the last 22 years, Mr. Husveth's hobby has been investigating
paranormal phenomena throughout the U. S., but specifically
in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He is co-starring in a new
network series dealing with the paranormal, which will start
airing in January 2009. Mr. Husveth is a co-founder of hauntednewjersey.com
and the Northeast Regional Coordinator for the American Association
of Electronic Voice Phenomena, and a founding member of Parapsychologist
Loyd Auerback's Paranormal Research Organization (PROs), an
invitation-only organization of parapsychologists, paranormal
investigators, scientists and intuitives in North America.
